Most
of the private schools in Changlang District of Arunachal Pradesh took part in the
first ever National Achievement Survey (NSA) conducted for private schools in
India on 5 February.
In
a first, NSA was conducted in private schools to find out the level of learning
outcome among the students. Joining with about 20 Lakh students from the
private schools across India, the class 10 students of Newman Educational
Society, which has 46 schools under its ambit in Arunachal Pradesh, took part
in the first NSA for private schools.
Mr.
P. Mossang, Block Resource Officer from Miao, inaugurating the survey,
explained to the students from Newman School Neotan the importance of this
survey in the field of education for the years ahead. “A sincere survey will
help the Government design appropriate interventions for the improvement in
quality learning for the coming years”, he said.
